Derealization and depersonalization: Perceived madness | 2

YoIt is as if you suddenly lose your control over immediate reality. Or maybe you looked in a mirror and a complete feeling of «you» did not hit home. DESREALIZATION AND DECERSONALIZATION: Perceived madness: The more we learn, the healthier we feel.

It simply seems to me that when the mind knows that it is overcome by Mega, believing that even the slightest additional stimulus will lead to several degrees of collapse, turn the switch into a filter.

Desrealization and depersonalization are the most terrifying phenomena that I have found in the more than 50 years that I have been dealing with emotional and mental diseases.

If you have had the pleasure, you know what I am talking about.

Introduction

I first published this series of three parts about derealization and depersonalization (DD) 14 years ago. As it is a frequent research and discussion issue, I decided to update and publish again.

You will find interesting information interesting in the first part. Here in the second part, it is about cause.

But since, like any of the emotional and mental diseases, there are no known causes of DD, we will run what we will call «probable taxpayers.» They include triggers, predispositions and research or theories supported by experience.

Quick information: DD is more often dissociative Symptoms of other conditions. However, the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders, the fifth edition, the text review (DSM-5-TR) has a diagnostic code for depersonalization/derealization disorder.

Probably taxpayers

Well, let’s take a look at those possible taxpayers, first in a formal bullet format …

  • The two greatest psychological taxpayers to the generation of DD are prolonged trauma and stress and anxiety.
  • Disrealization has been linked to children’s trauma, with gravity that is directly correlated with the gravity reported in child abuse.
  • DD It can be symptoms of numerous emotional and mental diseases, as well as physical,: borderline personality disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, schizophrenia, use and abstinence of substances, hypothyroidism/other endocrine disorders, sleep deprivation, migraines, neurological attacks and more.
  • There seems to be a biological relationship between DD, experiences close to death and experiences outside the body.
  • Recently, specific brain cells and circuits involved in dissociation generation have been identified. That allowed researchers to discover a characteristic rhythm/oscillation in a portion of the cortex that is connected to other brain areas associated with the generation of consciousness. Much more in: Researchers discover a rhythm in the cortex involved in the cause of dissociation.

Let’s change to a narrative format to review some of the theories that I have cooked over the years.

DESREATION AND DECERSONALIZATION: The mind protects itself

The mind protecting itself

“Hmm, then my mind is protecting itself. I guess I will have to take your word for it, for now. «

Like all emotional and mental hell was released 50 years ago, I had no idea what was happening. I mean, how could I know?

Keep in mind that emotional and mental illness was not a hot topic in those days. And investigating specific concerns was limited: there was no web.

Somehow, when it came to DD, it did not take long to connect the points. I saw its intense perceptual alterations such as the self -protest reaction of my mind to what it interprets as an unmanageable state of overload.

I still believe that.

Turning the switch

It simply seems to me that when the mind knows that it is overcome by Mega, believing that even the slightest additional stimulus will lead to several degrees of collapse, turn the switch into a filter.

Yes, it is the mind in a powerful state of protection – Defense.

Within this theoretical framework, the mind is trying to give an opportunity to fight to classify and process what is already fighting.

The last thing you need is more stimuli. Therefore, choose to filter, to the extreme block, the sensory entry that is transmitted from the immediate internal and external experience.

And, for the purposes of our series, use DD to achieve it.

Fear and Mermaid Circuits

Decreation fear circuit

“I am not free of episodes, but at least I know what is happening. And really remove the advantage. «

Now, unfortunately, the fear circuit is moving very independent and efficiently as its filtration system.

Then, go to the sirens because the sensations experienced as a result of the work of the mind to protect themselves, in this case, using DD, they are causing the alarm circuits to be scared.

I mean, they are not sensations that are interpreted as «normal.»

As a result, one turns all over the way of panic, desperately trying to restore a feeling of balance, control and comfort. But that only worsens things because it totally interrupts the immediate mission of the mind of managing thousands of cars in the peak hour.

Stuck in traffic

So now he stays with this constant construction traffic jam caused by two vehicles: an overloaded mind that is perceived that it is on the verge of the crisis and a very agitated and loudly rebel fear circuit. Without intervention, no one goes anywhere.

It could also suggest that DD can occur as a result of the fact that the mind is so consumed by the traffic jam itself that it simply cannot offer perceptual precision in response to what the senses are bringing to the table.

Never forget, this is how we receive ourselves and the world. And there is only much of the mind for everyone. Absolutely, it has its limits.

Looking at the third part

Okay, to complete our work we need to dig in one more article, the third part, in which we will enter some fascinating and useful ideas of the neuroscientist Dr. vs Ramachandran.

We will also throw some things that we can do to establish a sense of stability within a whirlwind of derealization and depersonalization.

Coming soon.

Again, a lot of useful general information DD in the first part.

If you are prepared to obtain information and read the disease and even more emotional and mental inspiration, examine the titles on the articles page or by category below.
