How Anxiety Leads to Assumptions – My Brain’s Not Broken

Over the years, I have learned a lot about the impact that my experience with anxiety has on me. It impacts the way I see the world, the way I interact with him and the way I interact with others. But after years of learning about me and my anxiety, I began to notice the patterns that creates my anxiety. A particular pattern is how my anxiety can lead to assumptions and how those assumptions can create problems in my life that did not exist before. Anxiety can lead to assumptions and if we do not make the connection, anxiety can take it through a path of lack of communication and life is more difficult than it should be.

We all know that old saying about assumptions: «When you assume ... «And the word game aside, this adage makes a good point. The assumptions, regardless of what it is, can cause problems to all involved and, despite our best efforts, we all make assumptions at some point u another.

There is a lot in this world that can make us anxious (Thanks Gad), But one of the things that can trigger anxiety is when we face the unknown. Often, if we need an answer to a question or there is information to which we cannot get the answer, we get anxious. Anxiety itself is not a problem: it is the fact that this anxiety leads to make assumptions and then act on those assumptions.

Anxiety is something interesting. His brain may feel that one million miles are moving per hour, but simultaneously, his body is still. You want to do five things at once and that is why you do nothing. And when trying to deal with the physical and mental symptoms of anxiety, feeling disabled, we can try to deal with a situation as quickly as possible. And often that solution is acting on assumptions.

Anxiety can take the form of thoughts, patterns and behaviors that affect our daily lives. When they run out of control and without response, these feelings can grow and be unhealthy. Knowing how my anxiety works has not prevented me from having anxiety (unfortunately), but it has helped me understand me more. I will probably not stop making assumptions, but I hope that understanding the connection that my anxiety has to make assumptions will help me move forward.

Making connections will not always prevent us from doing certain things, but it can help us learn patterns that have developed in our lives over the years. And when learning about these patterns, we can also unlearn them and find a healthier way to see the world.

What do you think? Do you feel that you do many assumptions in your daily life? How does that affect your mental health?
