Inclusive data and the future
The webinar provided an opportunity to understand how Sightsavers’ strategic objectives on inclusive data are being put into practice in our work on implementation, evidence and influence. However, there is still some way to go to ensure that inclusive and disaggregated data becomes standard practice across national statistical systems, and for governments to use this data to improve decision-making and policies.
As we move forward with the implementation of Sightsavers’ IDC 2024-27 action plan, we will continue to collaborate with partners to ensure inclusive data drives better outcomes for people with disabilities and the communities we work with. with the next Future Summit Focusing on how we can deliver a better future for all, strengthening inclusive data collection, analysis and use is key to ensuring inclusion is at the heart of those efforts.
We encourage other organizations to join global efforts to prioritize and accelerate action on inclusive data, to contribute to more equitable outcomes for all.
