I love this list of snacks because we all have most of the ingredients in our pantry (or we can easily obtain them). In addition, a teenager can easily make any of the snacks on the easy list and the most complicated snacks with recipes (under the obvious list).
The perfect snack is a combination of fruits or vegetables around 150 calories. Not all of these are perfect as apples and peanut butter, but they approach a lot.
Obviously, we do not want our children to take fries, soft drinks or sweets like refreshment every day. That is what they are going to ask, but we have to be creative and give them something that they will like as much as junk food. This is a super task because it means that someone will have to prepare something instead of opening a bag.
I understand how to open a bag is easier than spreading peanut butter in an apple, especially when you are hungry and tired. But you can do it!
Healthy snacks after school can be completely achieved once you get used to not eating garbage.
My children are always changing what they want after school. My son recently asked me for ran noodles (not healthy), but I am trying to find a way to turn them into a healthy snack. Add an egg and a little broccoli? Why not? Add only half of the sodium? It could work!
The most important factor is not to give up because if their children are like mine, they constantly demand fast food, fries, cookies and ice cream. Do I give you these things? Of course! But not every day and not after school.

Below is a list of 25 easy and healthy snacks after school plus 12 more complicated recipes for healthy snacks.
- Yogurt or smooth cottage cheese or with sliced fruit and granola
- Integral cereals or oats, dry or with milk, yogurt or raisins
- Mix of healthy paths or granola bars and fruit bars (search high fiber and without trans fats)
- Peanut butter sandwich with raspberry jam and anacardos
- Chocolate Graham Cookies with peanut butter
- Quesadillas (melted cheese in whole wheat tortillas)
- Rice cakes, smooth or covered with peanut butter or cheese
- Corn palomites, homemade or bought in the store (look for a brand that is low in sodium and fat)
- Tortilla and sauce or guacamole chips or covered with grated cheese and placed under the handle
- Muffins or breads, such as banana, pumpkin, corn or zucchini (can make a healthy lot and freeze them)
- Mini-Bagels with cream cheese and sliced cucumbers
- Dip of Hummus with pita, cookies or vegetables
- Sliced avocados with wheat cookies
- Hard eggs
- Celery full of cream cheese, boursin cheese or peanut butter
- Edamame in the peel, sprayed slightly with sea salt
- Chickpeas or other beans, eaten with fingers or toothpicks
- Olives, pickles, canned artichokes or palm hearts
- Frozen peas (not defrosted!)
- Apple slices with cheese, peanut butter, peanut butter and chocolate sparks, or honey
- Fruit kabobs (cut the fruit in a stick and bathed in vanilla yogurt)
- Shakes: Combine fresh and/or frozen fruit, fruit juice and yogurt or soy milk
- Dry fruit like mango, apricot, raisins, plums
- Ice Cooler or Gofres bowl full of yogurt and minced fruit
- Bananas and/or strawberries with semi-dulce chocolate sparks or chocolate syrup
