If you have heard of the clean beauty brand Ilia, here are my thoughts about some of its most popular products and my beauty reviews of Ilia.
After loving Beautycounter’s makeup for years (see this publication of why the pause: Beautycounter returns?), I have been looking for some good alternative makeup brands while they are in pause. Actually, it has been quite fun to try some new crunchi makeup products, tell me, ilia and more.
The world of clean beauty has been growing rapidly, with more and more brands creating products that exchange conventional ingredients for safer and more natural alternatives (that is supply and demand for you!). But we know that not all clean beauty brands are the same. Some go to everything in high performance formulas, while others miss the quality or desire for becoming too natural.
I had been listening to Ilyia for years from the Internet with my sister, whom she loves her dyed moisturizer. I have been using Ilyia products below for a while, trying them in my daily routine, and today I am sharing my honest thoughts.

Why is Ilia Beauty known?
Ilia is known for innovation and the creation of multitasking products that are accessible and easy to use. They also prioritize security, transparency, free cruelty and sustainability in their formulas. The products are free of parabens, phthalates, oil, mineral oil, talc, synthetic fragrances, sulfates and chemical sunscreen. Ilia follows the EWG standards (environmental work group) and reveals all the ingredients in their formulas (which is a clean beauty for me!). Ilia uses recycled aluminum, glass and paper of responsible origin for packaging. They also have a recycling program to help reduce beauty waste, just send their gaps! Finally, Ilia does not prove with animals and is jumping certified with Bunny. Most of their ingredients for skin care are vegan, with the exception of some that contain beeswax of ethical origin.

Ilia Skin Tint is ideal for normal to dry skin types and perfect to achieve an «makeup without makeup.» Available in more than 30 tones, it offers an inclusive range to adapt to several skin tones. Actually, it is known for having a very strange aroma, which is definitely its greatest inconvenience. You apply it with a dropper, and it is one of the most liquids of all the dyed moisturizers I have tried. However, the formula and coverage are great, and would actually describe this almost like a lighter base than a dyed moisturizer. But it still has some excellent ingredients for skin care: hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and scusen. There are so many tones, so you will surely find the perfect combination! My shadow is Balos – St3.

Ilia Multi stick
I am a great admirer of the multiple stick, and it is my favorite Ilia product! The light and buttery texture of the multiple stick melts in the skin, delivering a natural color flush with a humid finish. Infused with nutritious ingredients such as karité butter, avocado oil and orange peel wax, it is hydrated while adding a soft and buildable dye. I have been a fan of Cream Bush for some years, I find it easier to mix.
It is designed to use on cheeks and/or lips, and I love how easy it is to slide my cheekbone and then through my lips for a matching color (you can even use it in your eyes, but I don’t see myself well with pink shadows)! It is my favorite color product in my gymnastics makeup bag due to the portable and compact it is! I have the shadow ‘of humor’.

Ilia has two different masks: More complete volume and Unlimited eyelashes. The volumination is the one I have been using for several months, and I would like to try the unlimited whipping below! Volumination is infused with provitamin B5 and arginine, which helps strengthen and condition the eyelashes over time. Free of silicones, synthetic and black carbon fragrances, this rimel mask is clean, free of cruelty and proven with ophthalmologist, which makes it safe for sensitive eyes.
The brush is shaped like the sand watch as you can see above, and I really like the application. The formula neither stains me, and it is quite easy to eliminate with my favorite Cleaning oil. My only complaint about this mascara is that it will be grouped if it does not keep the brush clean. The formula feels thicker for me, and it dries quickly, so I have to clean the brush every two weeks to prevent it from grouped. I also find if I make a second layer of my eyelashes. I think my eyelashes are a little better with a comb -style brush, so that is a reason why I want to try the unlimited whipping next!
ILIA CLEXION STICK
The Clexion Stick is such a great alternative to liquid foundations! Some will find this much easier to use and mix than the super liquid serum. It is described as average coverage, and I agree: it is almost too much coverage for me, since I prefer a lighter weight base. It would compare it with a medium coverage concealer. The buildable coverage of a stick is excellent for blurred pores, redness and texture (of fine lines) with a natural matte finish. Mature skin loves this blur effect! I have been using it more as a complement to other dyed moisturizers or when I need more coverage in a place instead of my face.

As for clean makeup brands, I think Ilyia is one of the best! All its clean standards conform to my criteria, and so far I believe that their products are incredible. Prices are in line with other clean brands in the market. The brand is committed to the ecological packaging and the transparency of the ingredients. I also love the amount of variety of shadow they have. In addition, color tones are very natural, which is always the aspect I want. Ilia is perfect for daily use, giving you that brightness without effort «your skin, but better.» Would you repurify? Definitely, especially your ride, lip products and leather dye.
