These were destined to be photos from Friday night, a week ago! But better afternoon than ever. Most of the photos I have on my phone are of recent projects in which I have worked. However, I will put them in a separate publication. I have really been sewing lately, and it has been so cold outside (we had frosts on the ground yesterday!) That I have not been motivated to work on outdoor things. I * I need * clean the garage; During the winter, we simply throw things there to save in spring.
It has been an emotional week. Last weekend, just a few kilometers from me, a woman was drunk around 3:00 in the afternoon and led her car just next to a boat club. Where the child’s birthday party was happening. He hit and wounded 15 people and two children died: brothers, 4 and 8 years old. An older brother and a mother are still hospitalized and last night there was a vigil in the candlelight in the boat club.
Not only does your heart start in pieces? Sympathy for that woman and I hope she could go in prison (she is currently with a bail of $ 1.5 million). She has not assumed responsibility and has not shown remorse. She was so fast through the parking lot that went to 25 feet in the building before her car stopped. And that was after she had hit a car parked little in advance. I am simply devastated by those children and families that were not only injured, but they witnessed it! Do not return from that type of trauma.
Well, I have thought so much this week that I need to move on for now. She is horrible and I can’t stop thinking about that poor mother who lost two of her children and now has a great recovery ahead, since she and her 11 -year -old son had serious injuries.
I thought I had many more photos than this, but that is probably due to all the photos I took for the baseball team. Speaking of baseball, Eli decided to leave the team. I had been playing baseball since I was three years old! However, the coach of the university team caused all the fun of the game for him (and several other children) and decided that he would prefer to spend time at work to save for a car. Eli said it had been in his mind without stopping and thought a lot about whether he wanted to continue playing; Once he made the decision and told his coach, he said he felt like a great relief. It seems happier and your mood is much better! I didn’t realize how much I had been affecting him.
Anyway, here are some photos that have been hanging out in the roll of my camera …
When Luke and Riley were on Brian’s weekend, we went there to see them. They have this game team that hangs at a door (a swing and these rings below). I was trying to describe Riley how I could probably make a setback with the rings and I wasn’t doing a very good job explaining … so I decided to show him for her, haha. I had not tried since I was a child, and I had no idea if I was going to fall and break my back, but I managed to do it. And it was a lot of fun! Riley took me this photo while hung on his mouth.
The children went the next day for Texas (only a short trip with Brian), so there was no time to take them to Barnes & Noble for Luke’s birthday tradition. I will take it the next time they are here, but in the meantime, I had achieved a book that planned to buy from before he was conceived. It is a book of Dr. Seuss called «My book about me» (Amazon affiliate link), and is a blank filling book for children to fill. My parents obtained one for each of my brothers and I, who completed when we had about six or seven years. Luke has just turned seven, so I thought it was a good time. (This is seriously a fantastic gift for a young man of 5 to 7 years!
Here, Luke was starting to complete the book. I realized that I was writing with his left hand and said: «Luke, I didn’t know you were left -handed! Do you always write with that hand?» And he said: «No, I can write with both hands» and he changed to his right hand and continued. Bahaha
Meanwhile, Riley took us to each of us (Jerry, My Mom, Brian and I) from top to 1) we designed our hair, and 2) make a name label. I wish I would have received a photo of my hair! He put a lot of aerosol conditioner and slid on my head and put an arc on the top. It was … It is not my usual aspect. Ha! Usually, when I tell the children that I have to leave, Riley jumps in my arms and asks me to stay longer. This time, I said: «Riley, we will have to go out in a few minutes» and she answered with zero doubts: «You must get that arch!» Children are very fun; I wish they did not grow so much between each visit.
Jerry: «You have the cup!»
Me: «What do you mean?» (Realizing that I wanted to hide and forget)
Jerry: «I was going to buy that cup of friends and hide!»
Me: «That’s what I was doing for you!»
Then, each one had seen it and Jerry left him on the shelf until he could return without me seeing him. When he returned, he left. Because I was in my car, haha. I think I’m going to plant some cat grass.
Do you ever have the feeling that they are seeing you? 😉

Jerry was dying to have his hands in one of these cubes of popcorn popcorn from the movie of the new Ghostbusters movie. As soon as they were available, he led to an hour away to buy one. Then he returned twice for those of smaller size to send Luke and Riley. They sold super fast, but he managed to get them.
Jerry, Eli and I went to see Ghostbusters. Unlike Star Wars, I really like Ghostbusters (nothing like Jerry does, but I think it’s a pretty nostalgic film).
My dad asked if he would make a nut cake for Easter. I have made them a million times, my dad loves my nut cakes, but this time something so strange happened. I have no idea why, but he swelled during cooking (?!) And the texture was totally turned off. I am a self -admitted terrible baker, but I make a murderous nut cake; This was so strange! However, my dad said he still knew well.
Finally I did something with the fabric of friends I had obtained. I had planned to make Jerry and I coincided with pajamas pants, but I thought this would be more fun. These are backup pillows and are very comfortable. Jerry and I have no header, so they are pleasant to sit on the bed (usually we only stack a lot of pillows on top of each other).
I have been in a really good sleep schedule (the lights off at 9:00 pm) and it has been working very well, but I wake up too early. Honestly, I think my body just wants to sleep six hours because it is practically impossible to sleep more than that. So, I usually end up waking around 3:00 and I try to stay in bed until 4:00. Then, I began to read my Kindle even before leaving the bed.
When Jerry and I were in Goodwill, I saw a couple of pants with this label and thought the label was so pretty. I’ve been keeping some labels to put a bag one of these days, so I’ve been paying more attention. I didn’t want to buy them just for the label, so at least I took a photo.
I made a serious progress again put together my Jeans. I finished the upper part of the quilt and I love how it looks. However, I started padding it and now it looks terrible. I’m not just cut to be a quilter! I thought that the most difficult part would be to sew through the thick layers, but that was not a problem at all, I have sewn much more than this before. However, the upper part of the quilt be grouped while I am sewing (even with one foot) and after reading about it, I think it is because the backrest was too tense. Then, he will look home, but that is what I love so much of the denim: I think it looks better when it is a bit messy. So this quilt will be character! 😉 I will publish a photo when I am fully ready.
When I felt sad after listening to the drunk driver, I looked a lot of «bleach» memes (basically, really sweet and healthy quotes to make me smile). I really liked this little story:
Yesterday I took this photo of Chick, I was out of that. It is so cold; The polar opposed to Duck, which has as much anxiety as me. Peas in a pod, me and duck.
Duck was digging some things that I have at my night table, and I grabbed my phone to take a video of him. As soon as I started, he felt he was there and then jumped towards me to check my phone. It shows its «curious» appearance very well.
I found this Neck tie on Goodwill and I loved it. I bought it to use the fabric in something, I have not decided what yet, because it was too unique not to do it. I love that a 13 -year -old boy has designed it for the Save the Children Fund organization.
That is all I have for now. Have a great weekend! XO
