Share my thoughts and check about Darin Olien’s book Superlife And what I learned.
Hello friends! How is the morning? I hope you are having a great day so far. It has been * slightly * colder here lately. Just to the point where the air feels good and fresh without being too cold. The mornings have been really lovely.
For today’s publication, I wanted to share my review and thoughts about Darin Olien’s book, Superlife. Written in Olien’s attractive conversation style, Superlife It is a unique integral look in diet and nutrition, a timeless and essential guide to maintain the human body and maximize its potential.
Superlife book review
You can meet Darin from a couple of places:
1) He was Zac Efron’s connoisseur in With the feet on the ground (That I practically spent mentally debating who was more attractive. In the end, I think it is a draw).
2) It is one of Shakeology’s creators! This is the Beachbody protein milkshake, which is full of superfood and nutrients. I drank him religiously and I loved for years, but I stopped drinking it when I was pregnant with P and never returned to that. He knows incredible.
When I saw that Darin had a book, instantly I downloaded it to my Kindle application. I finally had the opportunity to dive and finish it, and Wow. While it was much information that I already knew when I was in the health and well -being space for a while, I still learned a lot. It was also a soft push to return to some healthy habits that have fallen from the radar over time. I feel that, along with many of you, I have really been trying to keep my head over the water lately. Finally I feel that I am almost at a point where I am colliding with the reference point of «simply surviving» and I can begin to concentrate on a couple of labor objectives and routine adjustments.
For a healthy lifestyle, it is about adding things to your routine where it makes sense, instead of focusing on eliminating them. For example: more vegetables, more movement, more fresh air, better sleep, meditation, etc. Instead of less cake, less sugar, less meat, blah, blah. This book offers many ideas about strategies that you can add to your routine for a super life; One that is vibrant, energized, without pain and free of diseases.
Of the website
In this innovative health and lifestyle guide, Darin Olien-Superfoods Expert, nutritionist, creator of Shakeology and Coanfrerion of the Netflix docuseries With the feet on the ground With Zac Efron, it provides the key to understanding and using five life forces, the only factors that determine if we will be healthy, in form and free of diseases.
In SuperlifeDarin Olien provides us with a completely new way of thinking about health and well -being by identifying what he calls the forces of life: quality nutrition, hydration, detoxification, oxygenation and alkalization. Olien demonstrates in great detail how to maintain these processes, thus allowing our bodies to make the rest. It tells us how we can maintain a healthy weight, prevent even the most serious diseases and feel good. He explains that all this is possible without any of the restrictive or trick diet plans that never work in the long term.
Olien has traveled the world, exploring the health properties of foods that have sustained indigenous cultures for centuries. By implementing his research, he has created a unique and proven formula to maximize the potential of our bodies. It also includes a user guide for «how to eat» with a shopping list, tips on «What to throw», a guide to create a healthy and balanced diet plan and tips on how to use supplements effectively.
What I liked about this book
He divides the book into 5 life forces to emphasize his daily routine: nutrition, hydration, oxygenation, alkalization and detoxification. In each segment, it provides details about the steps you can implement to make the most of each component. He also adds tips to exercise, feed children, supplements, basic kitchen foods and a 10 -day sample feed plan and a list of pending tasks. I love how thorough it is in each section with many attainable tips. It is one of my hobbies when you read a health or well -being book and the author spends all the time telling him why his plan or philosophy works so well without taking the steps you need. They spend too much on the «why» instead of «how» and this book is the perfect combination of both. It is also written very conversing, so although it includes multiple facts backed by science and peer reviewed studies, it is an easy reading.
Notes I took my phone while reading:
– Make outbreaks. (You can see more about this here)
– Large salads with many raw vegetables – focus on the curly and broccoli
– Shakes with varied ingredients
– Water with a pinch of sea salt of the Himalayas, Cayena and Limón in the morning
– Foods with high chlorophyll content: chard, curly collar, spirulina, chlorella
– Public and fun exercise; Truly challenge yourself
– Find a better water source. We have reverse osmosis here at home, but it has not been repaired since the first time we live here. So we haven’t been using it. I’ve been filling the big jugs of Whole Foods water. Although I am trying to find a better option (glass bottles, a large filter like Berkey or even a delivery service). If you have any idea, let it know!
As not vegan who loves vegan food, I am excited to try some of the new recipes in Superlife. All are vibrantly color and full of vegetables.
So, tell me, friends: What is the best health or well -being book you have read recently?
An impressive healthy recipe you have tried?
