He International Interior Design Association (IIDA; Chicago) named the winners of its 2023 IIDA Healthcare Design Awards, which recognize originality and excellence in design and furnishings in healthcare spaces.
The projects were reviewed by a panel of healthcare design professionals, including Lilliana Alvarado, founder and director. Uphealing Inc. (Bedford, New Hampshire); Aimee Burmaster Hicks, Principal and Interior Design Director, Page (Dallas); and Stephanie Fallon, interior director, PhiloWilke Association (Houston).
Submissions were evaluated in specific categories, including outpatient, hospital, and extended care and assisted living facilities. For 2023, Essentia Health, St. Mary’s Medical Center, in Duluth, Minnesota, from EwingCole, was named Best in Competition.
He Transformation and Innovation Award It was delivered to the Community of Hope Family Health and Birth Center, in Washington, DC, by the Gensler firm.
